Hannover Re Announces Strategic Leadership Promotions
Leading global reinsurer Hannover Re has unveiled a series of promotions within its Life & Health (L&H) division, under the stewardship of Claude Chèvre and Brona Magee. These changes highlight the firm’s commitment to fostering leadership excellence.
Soeren Kruse has been appointed as the Head of L&H, Southern & Eastern Asia. Kruse, who has dedicated 11 years to Hannover Re, has held numerous leadership roles, such as Head of Business Development and General Manager. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Malaysian Branch since May 2024.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Kruse remarked, “The rich diversity and immense growth potential in Southern & Eastern Asia inspire me daily. I am honored to lead and learn with our talented teams and eager to support our clients’ growth aspirations.”
In another key move, Niall Mulvey has been promoted to Head of L&H, Greater China. Formerly, he was the Principal Business Lead, L&H Asia. His extensive experience includes a 14-year tenure at Hannover Re (Ireland) DAC, where he was the Head of Actuarial Function, Life & Health.
Mulvey shared his excitement, stating, “I am thrilled to collaborate with the dynamic Greater China teams and look forward to partnering with a diverse array of local clients to build innovative solutions and add value.”
Rounding out the leadership changes, Raphael Rimelin has been named Head of L&H, France & MENA. With nearly 25 years at Hannover Re, Rimelin previously served as General Manager of the Paris Branch. His career also includes roles at Cigna, MetLife, and MMA Insurance.
Rimelin commented, “Assuming this new role is both an honor and a privilege. I am grateful for the company’s trust and excited to advance our success alongside our outstanding team—thank you for your ongoing commitment and dedication.”
