Vincent Foucart Appointed as Managing Director in Miller’s Reinsurance Division
Independent insurance and reinsurance brokerage firm, Miller, has announced the strategic appointment of Vincent Foucart, a former executive at SCOR, as the new Managing Director of its Reinsurance practice. Foucart’s expertise will be instrumental as he primarily focuses on expanding Miller’s reach across the Western European markets, encompassing France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Monaco.
Tasked with driving business growth and development, Foucart will oversee International Treaty, Specialty Lines, and Strategic Advisory operations, aligning with the firm’s ambitious reinsurance scale-up strategy. He will report to Shaun Sinniah, the Head of Reinsurance & Capital at Miller.
With an impressive 25-year tenure in the industry, Foucart transitions to Miller from SCOR, a prominent French reinsurer, where he held numerous senior positions over a 16-year tenure, culminating as CEO of P&C Solutions. His career also includes roles at Tocqueville Finance as Managing Director and AGF, before starting his professional journey at Allianz in 2000.
Shaun Sinniah, Head of Reinsurance and Capital at Miller, expressed, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Vincent to our team during this significant growth phase for Miller’s Reinsurance unit. His profound market expertise and leadership acumen are perfectly aligned with our vision to develop a market-leading, specialty-led reinsurance franchise. Vincent’s experience will be invaluable as we continue to achieve our long-term growth objectives, driven by our commitment to excellence in claims, analytics, and advisory services.”
Foucart commented on his new role, stating, “I am thrilled to join Miller at such a pivotal moment in their history. As they aim to enhance their specialty offerings with a burgeoning international reinsurance proposition, there exists a substantial opportunity for Miller to address the evolving needs within the market. Given its specialized capabilities and dedication to client service excellence, coupled with its impressive corporate culture, Miller is the ideal platform for fostering development in the (re)insurance market.”
Foucart’s appointment is a significant milestone in Miller’s ongoing international reinsurance expansion strategy. This move follows the firm’s recent acquisition of specialist reinsurance broker AHJ, as well as the acquisitions of capital advisory business 4809 Brokers and Spanish broker Bruzon, both set for 2024.
