XS Global, a leading managing general agent (MGA), has announced the appointment of Gabriel Gross as the Director of ART & Parametrics, effective March 1, 2025. Gross will be based in Paris, where he will spearhead the expansion of the company’s parametric insurance offerings.

In this pivotal role, Gross will focus on enhancing the firm’s parametric portfolio and securing additional capacity for a diverse global book of business. His responsibilities include driving the creation of innovative parametric solutions by leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry expertise.

With over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Gross is a seasoned executive renowned for his expertise in innovation, technology, climate risks, and advanced risk transfer products. In 2011, he founded Meteo Protect, a Lloyd’s cover holder and reinsurance underwriting platform specializing in parametric insurance, later acquired by Cooper Gay in 2020.

Following the acquisition, Gross took on the role of Director of Parametric Solutions at Cooper Gay, where he was instrumental in developing parametric solutions and implementing strategies from Meteo Protect. He also served as the CEO of Atacama Innovation, a licensed broker specializing in sophisticated risk transfer solutions, and a partner of Cooper Gay.

Commenting on his new position, Gross stated, “I am thrilled to join XS Global and lead the Parametric division. Collaborating with the talented team at XS Global and partnering with our sister company, Eureka Re (Reinsurer Company), presents a unique opportunity. I am eager to expand this division and meet the growing demand for parametric risk transfer solutions addressing climate and other natural risks.”
