AXA XL’s Strategic Leadership Transition in Asia
Global insurance and reinsurance giant, AXA XL, has announced a significant leadership change in their Asian operations, appointing Sylvie Gleises as the new Regional CEO for Asia, effective March 24. This strategic move follows the appointment of Gilles Fromageot as CEO of AXA Morocco and CIMA.
Gleises will not only assume the regional CEO role but will also continue her duties as CEO of AXA XL Singapore. Since her relocation to Singapore in 2021, she has been instrumental in enhancing AXA XL’s market presence amidst a highly competitive landscape.
“I am confident that under her leadership, we will further strengthen our position as a trusted partner, delivering tailored solutions that support our clients and brokers across the region,” stated Xavier Veyry, who serves as Regional CEO for APAC and Europe.
With a career at AXA Group spanning nearly two decades, Gleises brings a wealth of experience, having held key leadership positions such as CEO of Continental Europe, Global Head of Distribution and Marketing at AXA Art, and Head of Revenue Synergies at AXA XL. Her extensive experience is backed by her academic achievements, including a degree from ESCP Business School in France and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
Apart from her corporate responsibilities, Gleises actively contributes to business leadership as the President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and is a member of the global advisory board of TEFAF.
