Amwins, a leading distributor of specialty insurance products and services, has successfully acquired Community Association Insurance Solutions (CAIS). CAIS is a well-regarded Managing General Agent (MGA) and Programme Administrator known for its expertise in providing insurance solutions tailored for homeowners’ associations, townhomes, condominiums, and planned unit developments.
Under the terms of this acquisition, CAIS will continue its operations as part of Amwins Underwriting, thereby enhancing the division’s specialty offerings. This strategic move adds a comprehensive suite of programs and capabilities specifically dedicated to the community association sector, aligning perfectly with Amwins Underwriting’s commitment to this niche market.
CAIS brings a wealth of knowledge, specialized expertise, and disciplined underwriting skills to the table, offering a robust suite of products designed to meet the unique needs of the community association market. A key asset included in the acquisition is CAIS’s proprietary technology platform, MGAlive.com, launched in 2008. This platform revolutionizes the quoting, binding, and issuance process for agents, allowing them to secure coverage for their clients within minutes.
Additionally, CAIS offers a national “If-Any” Workers’ Compensation Program. This program provides workers’ compensation coverage for board members, committee members, and volunteers, alongside a comprehensive array of niche-specific insurance programs, including Crime Fidelity coverage.
