Everest Enhances Its Footprint in Italy with Key Appointment
Global reinsurance and insurance powerhouse, Everest, has made a strategic move by appointing Giacomo Mariani to spearhead its Insurance division in Italy. This follows the strategic opening of their Milan office scheduled for November 2024.
In his new capacity, Mariani will report directly to José Ramón Morales, who is the esteemed Head of Southern Europe at Everest Insurance International. Mariani arrives with a wealth of experience from the insurance sector, having held pivotal leadership and broker management positions at some of the world’s leading insurance firms.
Prior to joining Everest, Mariani was a key figure at Aon, where he was the Deputy Head of the Strategic Team. He played a crucial role in managing broking for high-profile corporate and public clients across Italy. Additionally, Mariani held a board member position at Global Safe Insurance Broker and was formerly the Head of Large Brokers and Direct Clients at Zurich, where he managed significant global broker relationships.
