Travelers Europe Announces Leadership Change
In a strategic move to enhance its operational efficiency, Travelers Europe, the European arm of primary insurer The Travelers Companies Inc., has appointed Mike Lawton as the new Chief Operating Officer. This appointment is pending regulatory approval.
In his new capacity, Lawton will report directly to Matthew Wilson, the Chief Executive Officer of Travelers Europe. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day business operations and driving the implementation of its strategic initiatives.
Boasting nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Lawton has demonstrated expertise in both broking and underwriting. Before joining Travelers Europe in 2016, where he led the Business Insurance practice, he held senior roles at a prominent international carrier and a UK-based broker.
Expressing his confidence in the appointment, Wilson stated, “Mike has been an invaluable member of our leadership team for many years. I am confident that his knowledge and expertise will help us enhance our market presence, drive efficiencies, and deliver exceptional service to brokers and customers.”
