Introducing Mosaic’s Comprehensive Site Pollution & General Liability Product
Specialty insurer Mosaic Insurance has announced the launch of its groundbreaking combined environmental insurance product. This innovative solution seamlessly integrates primary commercial general liability with a diverse array of pollution and professional coverages.
The newly introduced Site Pollution & General Liability (SGL) form is now accessible to both retail and wholesale brokers. It offers primary and excess capabilities, supported and unsupported, with an impressive $25 million in excess capacity.
Designed to cater to global coverage needs, the SGL product merges general, professional, and environmental liability hazards into a single, customizable form. It is tailored to address the specific requirements and risk appetites of insured parties, enhancing protection across multiple sectors such as manufacturing, processing, product distribution, and environmental consulting.
Mosaic’s SGL form directly competes with standard casualty insurance offerings, ensuring more comprehensive coverage while remaining cost-effective. Key enhancements include worldwide product coverage, pollution incidents arising from an insured’s operations and products, non-owned locations, and transportation.
With a dedicated team of around 20 environmental specialists based in London and the US, Mosaic offers a suite of environmental policies covering industries like fixed-site, construction, and manufacturing.
Jim Finnamore, Global Head of Environmental Liability at Mosaic, remarked, “This marks a significant step towards our objective of becoming the most trusted environmental carrier.” Karen Reilly, Head of US Environmental Liability, added, “Our solutions provide comprehensive coverage for premises, operations, product, pollution, and professional exposures. Our leading underwriting and claims teams are poised to deliver the most comprehensive and innovative solutions for our broker partners and clients.”
Overseeing the SGL product, Rob Stedman, Senior Vice President of Environmental Liability, concluded, “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter in the expansion of our environmental liability product offerings.”
