Sun Siang Liew Joins Mt. Logan Capital Management as Chief Analytics Officer
In an exciting development, Mt. Logan Capital Management, Ltd., renowned as the third-party capital management division of Everest Group, Ltd., has appointed Sun Siang Liew as their new Chief Analytics Officer. Liew is set to oversee portfolio management and actuarial analytics, and will report directly to John Modin, the CEO of MLCM.
John Modin expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am thrilled to welcome Sun to MLCM. He brings a proven track record in portfolio management, analytics, and optimisation to our ILS team.” Modin further highlighted, “Sun is well-versed in reinsurance affiliated manager offerings, and I am eager to collaborate with him as we elevate our bespoke strategies and develop products tailored to meet investors’ objectives, thereby fostering MLCM’s continued growth.”
Before his new role at MLCM, Liew was the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Analytics at RenaissanceRe, following its acquisition of Validus Re. At Validus Re, he was an integral member of the management team for AlphaCat Managers, the company’s third-party capital affiliate. In this capacity, he spearheaded portfolio analytics, playing a crucial role in investor portfolio construction and product development.
