Global Indemnity Group Welcomes New Leadership
Global Indemnity Group, LLC (GBLI) has announced the appointment of Praveen K. Reddy as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Penn-America Underwriters, LLC, its newly established subsidiary. This strategic move follows an internal reorganization revealed earlier this year.
Formed to enhance the company’s capabilities, Penn-America Underwriters serves as GBLI’s distribution and specialized services group, concentrating on the underwriting, expansion, and distribution of insurance products, technology services, and claims services.
Reddy steps into his new role with over 25 years of extensive experience in the insurance industry. His most recent position was Global President and COO of Innovisk Capital Partners, an international multi-line MGA platform. Before that, he served as COO of Velocity Risk, focusing on Specialty and E&S lines.
In his new capacity, Reddy will report directly to Joseph W. Brown, CEO of Global Indemnity Group. Brown expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted to have Praveen join GBLI as the leader of our new subsidiary, Penn-America Underwriters, LLC. We reorganized our company last year to better serve our existing agency partners and to introduce additional products and services to our customers. Praveen’s extensive background will complement our existing team’s skills and provide the leadership energy needed to drive value growth for our shareholders.”
Reddy shared his excitement, saying, “I am thrilled to be joining the GBLI team and to lead the Penn-America Underwriters business. I look forward to collaborating with the entire leadership team in advancing the next phase of growth and operational efficiency as part of the Project Manifest strategy. There is much to accomplish, and I am eager to be part of the journey ahead. Besides fostering growth in our existing lines, we plan to launch new products and teams and pursue strategic acquisitions.”
