Gallagher Re Expands its APAC Team with Strategic Hires
Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has significantly bolstered its Asia Pacific (APAC) team by appointing three senior executives from Aon, all of whom will be based in Singapore. These strategic additions aim to enhance the company’s capabilities and deepen its commitment to the region.
Richard Jones, formerly the CEO of Reinsurance Asia at Aon, is among the new hires. Jones joined Aon in May 2019, initially serving as the Executive Chairman of its Reinsurance Solutions business in Asia. Prior to his tenure at Aon, he held a prominent role as the Chairman of Asia Pacific at Guy Carpenter, where he dedicated 31 years to various leadership positions.
Joining him is Kyung Won, who was previously an Executive Director at Aon. Won has been a part of Aon for five years and before that, he spent over a decade at Guy Carpenter, where he last served as the Managing Director – Head of South East Asia & Korea.
Vinay Ananthanarayanan, who served as the Head of Production, Asia at Aon, rounds out the new appointments. Ananthanarayanan’s six-year tenure at Aon saw him in leadership roles such as Production Leader and Director – Head of SAARC & Sales Lead Philippines. His earlier experience includes positions as an Associate Director at United Insurance Brokers Limited and a Risk Analytics Specialist at Aon Benfield.
Gallagher Re anticipates that these key appointments will deliver long-term value and reinforce trusted partnerships, highlighting the firm’s dedication to investing in and nurturing its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
