Ignite Specialty Risk Appoints Ankit Patel as US Head of IP Underwriting
Ignite Specialty Risk, a leading provider of litigation risk insurance, has announced the appointment of Ankit Patel as the new US Head of Intellectual Property (IP) Underwriting. Patel brings over a decade of industry experience, specializing in contingent legal risks and intellectual property.
With a robust background encompassing various disciplines such as actuarial science, underwriting, risk management, and operations, Patel is well-equipped for his new role. His responsibilities will include assessing legal risks, negotiating insurance agreements, overseeing insured litigation matters, and supporting claims management. These tasks will leverage his technical expertise, as highlighted by the firm.
In his most recent position, Patel led the Contingent Legal Risk Insurance team for the Americas at Liberty Mutual Corporation. Before this, he served as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Ambridge Partners LLC, where he spearheaded IP insurance solutions and provided strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions.
