DUAL UK’s Initiative for Climate Risk & Resilience
DUAL UK, a prominent segment of the specialist underwriting division of Howden Group, has unveiled its newly established Climate Risk & Resilience (CR&R) underwriting team. This strategic move underscores their commitment to supporting businesses in their journey towards sustainability and addressing the challenges of decarbonization.
The CR&R team, spearheaded by the seasoned expert Rob Best, is set to roll out a suite of innovative insurance products. These offerings are tailored to assist enterprises in navigating the intricate landscape of sustainability and the transition to net zero.
These pioneering products are key to unlocking essential investments that cater to the escalating demands for decarbonization and sustainability, according to DUAL UK. Best brings with him an impressive four decades of experience within the London insurance market, having built successful teams at JLT, Gallagher, and Willis.
Rob Best will be supported by David Sparrow, the former CEO of Built Asset Consultancy EC Harris, who also served on the Global Management Committee of Environmental Consultancy Arcadis. The underwriting team is further enriched by the expertise of Simon White, Rikke Olesen, Samantha Walters, and Chris Gwynn. These professionals boast substantial experience in environmental, public law, and rights of light underwriting, having worked with notable insurers and Managing General Agents (MGA) such as AIG, AXA XL, Chubb, and CLS RS.
