Hamilton Global Specialty, the underwriting platform of Bermuda-based Hamilton Insurance Group, has announced significant leadership promotions aimed at reinforcing its position in the industry. Sinead Cormican has been elevated to the role of Active Underwriter for Syndicate 4000. She will be reporting directly to Miles Osorio, who will remain in his capacity as Chief Underwriting Officer for Hamilton Global Specialty.

Additionally, Sukh Chana and Mark Johnson have been appointed as joint Deputy Active Underwriters. Chana will continue in his role as Head of Financial Institutions, while Johnson will maintain his responsibilities as Head of Property D&F. Both will report to Cormican, with these appointments taking effect on April 1st, 2025, pending regulatory approval.

Osorio, one of Hamilton’s earliest hires, boasts over 30 years of industry experience. He has served as the Active Underwriter for Hamilton Syndicate 4000 since November 2020, following his previous roles as Deputy Active Underwriter and Head of Property for Hamilton’s Lloyd’s operations.

Chana, with over 20 years in the industry, has held the position of Head of Financial Institutions at Hamilton for more than five years, joining through the company’s 2019 acquisition of Pembroke. Similarly, Johnson, with two decades of insurance experience, has been Head of Property D&F for four years, marking a decade-long tenure with Hamilton.
