Vincent Foucart Takes the Helm in Miller’s Reinsurance Expansion
Miller is strategically expanding its reinsurance operations by appointing Vincent Foucart as the managing director of its reinsurance division. This initiative underscores the firm’s commitment to fortifying its presence in the European reinsurance market.
In his new role, Foucart will spearhead business development efforts throughout Western Europe, focusing on countries such as France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Monaco. His leadership will be pivotal in advancing three core areas: international treaty, specialty lines, and strategic advisory.
Working under the guidance of Shaun Sinniah, Miller’s head of reinsurance and capital, Foucart will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s long-term growth objectives. Foucart expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m thrilled to join Miller at a time when they are enhancing their market-leading specialty offerings with an expanding international reinsurance presence.”
Foucart highlighted the opportunity to address risk-transfer challenges and serve market segments traditionally underserved by larger incumbents. “With its specialist capabilities, dedication to client service excellence, and an impressive corporate culture, Miller is the ideal place to foster (re)insurance market development,” he added.
Foucart brings a wealth of experience to Miller, with 25 years in the industry. He joins from SCOR, where he held senior roles over a 16-year tenure, most recently serving as CEO of P&C Solutions. His career began at Allianz in 2000.
Sinniah noted that Foucart’s expertise in building businesses and cultivating industry relationships aligns seamlessly with Miller’s growth strategy. “His profound market knowledge and extensive leadership experience will be invaluable as we continue to pursue our long-term growth ambitions, supported by a commitment to excellence across claims, analytics, and advisory services,” Sinniah remarked.
Miller’s appointment of Foucart follows several strategic acquisitions aimed at enhancing its reinsurance capabilities. Earlier this month, the company acquired the specialist reinsurance broker Alwen Hough Johnson, building on the 2024 acquisitions of capital advisory firm 4809 Brokers and Spanish broker Bruzon.
According to Tim Nagle, Miller’s head of Europe, the firm views Europe as a vital market for its reinsurance ambitions. “We are eager to continue this momentum as we expand our European footprint,” Nagle commented.
